The world need people like Jimmy in it, the Mizen are quite right society needs to think more about respect. I am sure you will all survive this terrible time with your love from each other.

This Is for Jimmy that was born with such a Bright Light, so bright that it shone on everyone he knew and met, God so wanted this bright Light He called Our Jimmy home with all the Angels and Archangels, and we will miss that wonderful Light just as much as his family. Jimmy keep on shining your light wherever you are,you will be remembered by all. My heart goes out to Barry Margaret and family, what a wonderful bright star you brought into this world, He is not gone only to rest awhile.I am sure you will find peace and tranquillity in both your lives knowing that Jimmy will always be by your side. Hello there

I just heard your interview on Radio 5 and, strangely, it made my heart dance for joy.

In summer 2006, my brother was killed in a street attack by a teenager. I work part-time in the prison service as a teacher, so I was indirectly able to follow the progress of his assailant throughout his sentence (he served it in a different prison). I was also able to learn about restorative justice projects, where victims of crime meet people who have carried out the similar crimes, and youngsters who have consistently been in trouble are invited to come and join in. We all talk, cry and learn from each other.

As a Christian, I knew the importance of finding peace, understanding and ultimately reconciliation with the lad involved. It began to burn on my heart that I should meet with him, but he declined when I enquired trough the probation service.

Then, I believe God took over. I was asked to speak on Radio 5 which I did. His Grandmother heard the interview and duly explained to him that my intentions were not based on vengence. I also accidently met his Uncle much to our mutual surprise (and shock!) at a Restorative Justice project.

Last month, we met in a Church hall. The meeting consisted of Me, My Wife, the Boy involved and his Mum. We all had the chance to weep and pray and it was so powerful. He had attempted suicide twice during his sentence, and I was able to tell him that I wanted him to leave it behind and to get on with life. He chose to say sorry and I heard the story from his side, without the demonisation of him through the press.

I haven't been able to share this with much of my family, as it is too painful at present and there is too much resentment. I have had moments of feeling odd, and have even panicked once or twice! Am I a madman! What am I doing!

To hear you today reassured me that the way of love, to accept responsibility as a society, not to judge and to look forward with hope is indeed, the right way.

The death of Jimmy has deeply affected us all here in Lee. It breaks my heart each time I pass by the bakery. However, I do feel so proud to be part of a wonderful Parish and School community. Condolences to the Mizen family.

Margaret and Barry - it was with great shock when watching your interview on GMTV this morning and looking at Margaret and listening to her soft spoken tone - I thought I know these people and realised that after reading all the reports and relating to the fact that we as a family used to live and work in Lee that I knew you - as former neighbours of approx 15 years please please accept all of our condolences and thoughts for you at this terrible, sad time, we did not have the pleasure of knowing Jimmy but you will remember us - we lived at no 5 and my son Joel used to play with Danny and Billy.

Our thoughts are with all of you at this sad time - Jimmy sounds as if he was like the rest of your family, a thoroughly lovable, decent boy.

i am very truly sorry for your loss.
i cannot start to imagine all of the pain that you and your family are going through.
i really hope that as the years past by things will get easier and you will not cry because jimmy is no longer in your arms but you will smile because you know that he is still with and around you with that smile on his face. you are all so very brave and i send my condolences out to you all.although i never had the honour and pleasure of knowing or meeting jimmy from what i have heard on the telly and read in the papers,jimmy seems like a very admirable young boy and has touched everbodys hearts that he has come across.you all seem like a lovely kind family that jimmy was very lucky to have been born into.i know some people who really do not have such effection or love in there household.take care and look after eachother because im sure jimmy is looking down on all of you a bit puzzled wondering as to why everyone is so sad and crying when you should be celebrating his very spercial life.he seem such a lovely genuine decent young boy.

Jimmy's memorial service said it all for us,from the number of people who attended, to the kind words given by the guest speakers, and in particular to the wonderful tribute given by his Brother Danny.
How proud you made us feel of being part of your family, and by the courage and dignity you have shown in the most difficult circumstances.
Both Julie and I will be attending on Friday,and we are sure that there will be many more past Everson's there in spirit.

jim you was one of my best mates by far and we used to do evrerything together ever since year seven, playing rugby at the club together and going out most weekends since the first moment i saw you till the last, you was such a good mate and we stayed best mates right till your last moments. ill never forget you mate its gonna be alot different without you around. you are so lucky to have such a nice strong family who loved you very much, and how brave they have stayed through all of this.

I drive past the bakery every day on my way to work and seeing the flowers and tributes made me feel so sad. Jimmy was a son and brother that any family would be proud of. I admire the courage and dignity his family have all shown following the tragic and senseless death of Jimmy. May God be with you all at the funeral on Friday and for always. RIP Jimmy.
