Such a loss, such a waste of life. Keep strong today, Jimmy will live on in your hearts.

So sorry to hear of your sad loss. You say it is too soon to forgive his killer. Dan, a Christian, further down these pages also talks of reconciliation with the killer of his child. To forgive is to condone. Your children were worth more than that. So are the next potential victims!

I would just like to add my respects to the many which have been paid. I did not know Jimmy and like the rest of this nation am shocked and appalled at the horrendous murder of a decent young man. My thoughts this morning are with his family and friends. God bless.

Whilst on a long drive I listened to Jimmy's parents on the radio. I was moved by their gratitude for God's grace in making it through. But even more for their understanding that people have to change. For those listening, and certainly for me, it was a moment of truth and it lifted my spirits.

I write this with tears falling for this great life taken so unjustly and for all those young lives that are still going to be taken! These cruel cities, and damned indifferent authorities standing, watching, helpless, hopeless in protecting the vunerable - our children unsafe, our futures marred, scarred and damaged by the careless, wreckless and indifferent.
To the Mizen family - God give you the strength to get through today, and the courage for tomorrow!

Jimmy - RIP your reward is in heaven!x

Hi,
I am very sorry to hear of the loss of this fine young man. I have a son Jack, who is 7, and a daughter Katie who is 5. I fear what world they will end up growing in. We live in a small village in mid wales, and I took the concious decision to bring up my family where traditional values are still in the majority.

I believe we as a society at large are collectively responsible for these outrages, because respect is not taught from an early age. We also do not engage children and youg people out fo fear being branded a paedophile. When I was 12 I ended up joining a Model Engineering society where I grew up in Sheffield. The guidance and appreciation of respect for people has lead me to being a considerate person, who thinks of the feelings of others, probably more so than I do for myself.

Joining a society like that would not be allowed these days, because the hoops you have to jump through in order to be able to have junior member of a club like I was in, which not only teahces you respect, but also taught me many many engineering skills. Today I am an engineer involved in Telecommunications, Computers, and Railway engineering.

I loved my childhood when I was'nt at School. Even in 1987 when I left School, things were going downhill fast.

So what am I saying? I am saying that adults these days are scared of even talking to kids because of the possible consequences. I am saying that we need to engage with young people, and teach them things that money cannot buy, like life skills.

Cheers,

Rob.

I am a mother of a teenage boy and girl and I can only imagine what you are all going through. Jimmy seemed such a pleasant, gentle young man and I hope that one day you find peace of mind. He was and still is a credit to you, his family. Children are only a product of how they are raised. You raised your son well. God bless.

As a mother, I cannot imagine your family's pain and anguish and yet you are all so strong and courageous.
My heart and thoughts are with you today as you celebrate Jimmy's life. God Bless x
