Victims families demand tougher sentences for carrying a knife

PARENTS of murdered teenagers are calling for stricter laws on knife crime.

Prime Minister Gordon Brown met with the grieving families, which included the parents of murdered Jimmy Mizen and Rob Knox, in Downing Street.

During the meeting the families called for a mandatory six month prison sentence for anyone carrying a knife.
